At Routes to Work our Skills Team can provide accredited qualifications to suit the needs of our clients, partners, and employers.
All our training is carried out in accordance with awarding body guidelines which ensures learners are provided with the skills and knowledge in order to successfully complete the qualification. We aim to enhance skills and enable growth which allows our clients to progress towards obtaining sustainable employment.

CSCS Course – REHIS Health & Safety Elementary Certificate (online)
This course is necessary for anyone wishing to work on a construction site. Learners are required to complete 2 stages of the course and pass both tests in order to obtain their CSCS card.
Upon successful complete of both tests we will apply for the CSCS green labourer card with CITB.
The full course includes REHIS Health & Safety Certification, CITB Test & CSCS Card.
This 7-hour course will be delivered online by a Tutor (due to COVID-19) therefore access to a technical device and an internet connection is essential.

CSCS Course – Health & Safety in a Construction Environment (SQA)
This course is necessary for anyone wishing to work on a construction site. Learners are required to complete 2 stages of the course and pass both tests in order to obtain their CSCS card.

REHIS Elementary Food Hygiene plus REHIS Elementary Health & Safety online course
The REHIS Elementary Food Hygiene course, which is currently delivered online via PC, laptop or tablet, will provide the candidate with an introduction to and elementary knowledge food safety and hygiene. The course includes trainer led tuition and practical information of Food Hygiene. This course is suitable for the Hospitality, Care, Retail, and other sectors where food handling is required.

This course is suitable for young people or anyone looking to return to work after a period of unemployment.

- Building Your Employability Skills – Learners consider the types of employment which may suit. They practise the skills needed to find employment, such as contacting employers, filling in application forms, and writing a CV.

NPA in Enterprise & Employability (SQA)
Enterprise skills develop individuals for the world of employment in all its diversity. This involves having the ability to be creative, flexible and resourceful with a positive attitude to change; understanding when and how to use initiative and innovation; being able to evaluate risk to inform individual and collective decision making; and having the ability to persuade others to undertake a joint venture. Employability includes areas such as effective time management, planning and organising, the ability to work with others to achieve a common goal, and to manage and be managed by others. Mental Health & Wellbeing Award (SQA)
The award is designed to enable learners to increase understanding and awareness of issues around mental health and wellbeing. As a result, they will be better equipped to undertake further education, training or employment and live a healthy lifestyle. This course helps reduce stigma surrounding mental health and provide learners with healthy coping strategies and build resilience. The course covers the impact of mental health on behaviour and dispels myths surrounding mental health. The course helps promote positive and negative impacts on mental health and helps individuals to make the right choices. We also look at the potential benefits and impact of social media and internet on mental health. Units include:

National Progression Award in Digital Literacy (SQA)
Designed to introduce Learners to a range of different digital tools, productivity software and digital communication methods. Engage and encourage Learners to use and achieve a basic understanding of digital technology in use in everyday contexts. Many Learners struggle cope with new technology, without really understanding its potential and how it can be used to improve their everyday lives and this award will allow Learners to explore a diverse range of digital technology. The Units combine the softer skills of communication and working with others within the context and use of digital technology. This allows Learners to relate these soft skills to electronic equipment they may use every day. It will help build confidence in the use of digital technology whilst improving the softer skills.
