A Wishaw based power washer company that supply goods to customers in a variety of industries are looking to add an Apprentice Customer Service Engineer to their busy team. You will play a crucial role in supporting our customer service and business activities. Under the guidance of your manager. You will develop skills and gain experience in delivering exceptional service that exceeds client expectations. From the headquarters in Wishaw, the employer provides a service across the UK in the sale, hire and maintenance of high-performance pressure washers. In over 40 years of operation, the company has developed a range of installed, static pressure washers, distinct from the portable units commonly offered by their competition, which are prone to operator abuse, theft and frost damage. Full time permanent role on offer to the successful applicant, with a 37.5 hour per week contract.


Key Duties and Responsibilities :

Key Responsibilities:

Preventative Maintenance:

• Assist in following the preventative maintenance schedule by attending customer sites

• Learn to check and inspect equipment to diagnose potential faults.

• Identify and report external factors affecting equipment life expectancy and reliability.

Breakdown Response:

• Support in adjusting schedules efficiently to respond to Rhinowash Modular Customers.

• Learn to perform swift and effective repairs, ensuring same-day or next-working-morning responses.

Courtesy Calling:

• Participate in unobtrusive visits to ensure clients are satisfied and prepared with essential spares.

• Listen to client feedback and contribute to continuous improvements.

Deliveries:

• Assist in delivering products efficiently, exceeding client expectations.

• Add a personal touch to deliveries where possible.

Showcase Products:

• Help bring awareness of new products to market.

• Learn to identify and demonstrate products that could complement client systems, save time/money, or resolve ongoing issues.

• Client Communications: Develop skills in listening to clients, identifying their needs, and maintaining clear communication about our scope of supply and limitations.

Internal Communications:

• Ensure you are heard and understood within the Rhinowash team.

• Prioritise safety in all communications.

Time Management:

• Learn to manage your time effectively to exceed client expectations.

• Strive for a balanced work-life schedule.

Self-Organisation and Presentation:

• Take care to organise your equipment, tools, and stock for a perfect presentation.

Installations and Surveys:

• Assist in capturing information that results in the best solutions for clients.

• Ensure data is accurate and comprehensive for seamless installations.

Stock Replenishment:

• Help capture all stock movements accurately.

• Ensure you are always well-stocked to handle every situation.

Expectations:

• Demonstrate a high standard of understanding and meticulous attention to detail in all activities.

• Show a willingness to learn and grow within the role.

Overview: Join the team as an Apprentice Customer Service Engineer, supporting the design, manufacturing, and servicing of Industrial Pressure Washer Systems. Based in Wishaw, you will work remotely across Scotland, ensuring customer satisfaction through exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities: Client Relationships:

• Maintain and develop relationships with existing and prospective clients through routine contact and visits.

• Ensure customer satisfaction by exceeding service expectations with a positive and professional approach.

• Preventative Maintenance:

• Assist in routine planned servicing and preventative care of power washers.

• Learn to perform minor repairs and support other engineers with new installations.

Communication:

• Develop effective communication skills to interact with clients and team members.

• Ensure clear and professional communication in all interactions.

Time Management:

• Learn to manage your time effectively to meet client needs and maintain a balanced work-life schedule.

Self-Organisation:

• Organise your tools and equipment for efficient and effective task completion.

• Present yourself and your work professionally.

Requirements:

• Willingness to learn and grow within the role.

• Effective communication skills and competence in spelling and grammar.

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

• A clean driving license is preferred.

Appreciation of mechanical engineering is beneficial but not essential.
