We have 2 positions at present for a Trainee/Apprenticeship role in Large Format Printing, Sign Making and Display Graphics manufacture.

One of Scotland’s most advanced large-format print companies. We produce the huge graphics you see everywhere — from shop signs and posters to building wraps, exhibition displays and event graphics.

Right now we’re looking for motivated young people (17–18) from the local area who want to start a hands-on career in a growing industry.

This isn’t just a job — it’s the start of a career pathway into a Modern Apprenticeship in Print.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll start by working alongside our experienced production team, learning how large format print works from the ground up.

You’ll help with things like:

  • Preparing and finishing printed graphics

  • Operating cutting and finishing equipment

  • Assisting with large format printers

  • Quality checking finished products

  • Supporting the production team on real customer projects

You’ll begin by shadowing experienced staff and completing a structured training programme, starting with Health & Safety and moving into print finishing and production.

Your Future Career Path

The role can lead to a Modern Apprenticeship in Print (SVQ Level 6) — a nationally recognised qualification that is equivalent to a Higher.

Over approximately two years, you’ll develop practical skills in:

  • Large format printing

  • Print finishing

  • Production processes

  • Industry equipment and technology

Many people in our industry build long-term careers from apprenticeships, progressing into technical, creative or management roles.

Working Hours – Sometimes this can change!

Monday – Friday
9:00am – 5:30pm (40 hours per week)

What We’re Looking For

We’re not expecting lots of experience — what matters most is attitude and reliability.

Essential

  • Good timekeeping

  • Willingness to learn

  • Ability to follow instructions

  • Good numeracy skills

  • Positive attitude and work ethic

  • National 5 Maths and English (required for the apprenticeship)

Desirable

  • Interest in practical or creative work

  • Interest in design, signage or printing

  • Previous part-time or work experience

Why This Is a Great Opportunity

  • Learn a real trade with career prospects

  • Work with some of the most advanced print technology in Scotland

  • Gain a recognised qualification

  • Join a friendly team where you’ll be supported while you learn

  • Be part of creating large-scale graphics seen all over the UK

If you’re someone who likes making things, working with your hands and learning new skills, this could be the perfect first step into a creative technical career
