Maintenance Person

The individual would work 37 hours per week on a five over seven basis which will incorporate working weekends and public holidays, where required. You may be required to work evenings if necessary.


Perform routine maintenance tasks, including but not limited to minor electrical repairs, joinery, small paint/decorating tasks and plumbing repairs

Troubleshoot and repair equipment malfunctions

Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and address them promptly

Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs

Supervise and coordinate with external contractors when necessary

Provide excellent customer service to address maintenance requests in a timely manner

To open and lock school’s facilities as required

To ensure that all faults or potential hazards are dealt with appropriately or if unable to make safe, ensure they are reported immediately to the Maintenance Manager

To carry out all duties in accordance with health and safety legislation and the school’s health and safety policy.

To report anything or anyone suspicious on school grounds.

Assist with planned Health and Safety Inspections


To be effective in this role, you will be skilled in the use of tools in relation to drilling, joinery, basic repairs & general DIY. A good level of general property maintenance would be advantageous. Strong organizational skills to effectively prioritize tasks and manage time. You will possess excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Essential Criteria:

A Driving licence is essential for this role.
