COMPANY DESCRIPTION:

We are a company based in Kilsyth that collects, sorts, repairs and sells pallets. The work mainly takes place inside the workshop where operatives will sort through and repair second hand pallets for resale. The business is family owned with a flat management structure. We like to think this is a nice place to work and have many people who have been with us years. Work will be 42.5 hours Monday to Friday during the day. A shift for example may start at 9 and finish at 6:00 which is 8.5 hours of work and 30 minutes of break each day. Rate of pay will be NMW The successful candidate will be given hours of work at the start of their employment and will be consulted over any changes.


KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Building, repairing, and maintaining pallets using hand and power tools; Sorting, stacking, and storing pallets in the designated areas of the warehouse or pallet yard; Operating machinery and equipment, such as nail guns, saws, and forklifts, to assist in the production and movement of pallets; Conduct quality control checks to ensure that all pallets meet the required standards and specifications; Loading and unloading pallets onto delivery trucks or transport vehicles, ensuring that they are properly secured and arranged; Assisting in inventory management by counting and tracking pallets and ensuring that adequate supplies are available for production and delivery; Following health and safety regulations and company policies and procedures at all times; Communicating effectively with supervisors, colleagues, and customers to ensure that all tasks are completed to the required standards and on time.

Good work ethic; Excellent time keeping; Candidate should be physically fit; Should take their work seriously and approach work with a desire to do well.


Desirable criteria:  

Ideally will live locally or have transport links or own means of transport to get to work.
