A second generation family sign making business based in Motherwell that has established itself since 1979 as one of the leading sign manufacturing companies in central Scotland based in Motherwell, are looking to recruit a Trainee Signmaker. From the factory they can manufacture and erect an exclusive range of signs to satisfy all of their clients requirements. They are currently looking for an individual to learn the trade working within the workshop or on customers sites manufacturing and installing signs on their own or as part of a team.

£NMW, 40 hours per week. Monday – Friday

Holidays are 28 days per year (Inc Bank Holidays)

Key Duties and Responsibilities :

No experience necessary but good grades, enjoys working with their hands and computer knowledge an advantage. Driving licence is essential. Full training will be given. Duties will vary and will eventually cover all aspects of sign making. Position will start with general tidying, preparation of materials on various substrates then developing to manufacturing and installation of signs. The successful applicant will be required to work outdoors in all types of weather, use ladders, scaffolding and maybe required to work away from home from time to time.

Essential Criteria :

Driving licence Candidates must be over 21 with a clean licence

Good communicator and able to work on their own or as a team.

Desirable Criteria:

Background with manufacturing in wood, metal or plastics (mechanics or engines).
