Trainee Woodworker/ Bench Joiner

This is a unique opportunity to work for a well-established Automotive business with expertise in vehicle conversions and adaptations lending this role to a range of core automotive skills.

Working 38 hours per week Monday -Thursday:  08.00-16.30, Friday 08.00-14.30

The company is based in Coatbridge and the hourly pay rate will initially be the National Minimum Wage, with the opportunity to be reviewed.

All training will be provided.

Duties:

Working alongside the experienced woodworker/bench joiner, the successful candidate would be able to carry out cutting of templates for van-lining, shelf storage etc.  Use of CNC machine would be an advantage, although training can be provided.

Customer service skills, teamworking, vehicle adaptations, body building, use of new technologies including CNC cutting machine, wood machining, bench joinery, waste management.

Essential Requirements: 

The candidate must have woodwork/DIY experience and be familiar with hand tools.

A driving licence is preferred, but not essential.

Good communication skills, information and communication technology, good team player, problem solving, positive attitude to learning, good timekeeping.
