For those not quite ready to move into employment, we have plenty of tools and support from our specialist teams and external partners that will ensure you get the assistance you need to move in the direction you want to be heading in.
Childcare Support Services

If you are registered with Routes to Work, the Childcare Team can help you find an excellent childcare service in your area to look after your family for when you move into employment.
We will talk to you about the childcare available and organise a 'settling in' visit for you and your child/children - so that when you do go to work you will have peace of mind and can concentrate on your job.
Part of the role of the childcare caseworker is to establish a network of approved childminders, nurseries and out-of-school provisions to ensure that the childcare we recommend is appropriate to each client. We act as a link between you and the childcare provider, organising a settling in visit and ensuring everything is in place.
Our childcare caseworkers provide advice and guidance on the various types of childcare options available; they can help find the right childcare service to suit your time requirements for training and employment, and offer financial support towards initial costs.
