![]() Invitation to visit Routes to Work and North Lanarkshire's Working to celebrate UK Employability Day, Friday 28th June 2019. To coincide with UK Employability Day 2019, I am delighted to invite you to attend our Open Day to celebrate how employment support is helping our communities in North Lanarkshire. Employability Day is a National event to allow organisations such as ours, to open their doors to stakeholders, networks and businesses to show what employment support means at the frontline and the impact it is having in the local area. Your visit would therefore be pivotal to this event and we are also keen to share it with local press and other media. Routes to Work has transformed the lives of nearly 18,000 North Lanarkshire residents in the last 16 years and we pride ourselves in progressing our clients to help support them achieve their personal and professional goals. We work collaboratively with a number of partners, providers, employers and a team of expert staff who will be present on the day to celebrate our services. More importantly, clients themselves will share their experiences first hand. Our Vision “reduce poverty and improve the health and wellbeing of North Lanarkshire’s communities and businesses by enabling people to access, sustain and progress within employment’ Come and celebrate with us on the 28th June by emailing us for space at media@routestowork.co.uk Look forward to seeing you on the day! All systems go at The Hilton Bellshill!
Excellent PR event at Saturday’s event. Delegates from Tenants Forums throughout NL were met and entertained by a consortium of 13 stall holders ranging from Mears, Saltire, CAB, Police Scotland, Digital NL and more. Forum members gladly made their way around the stalls, engaging with providers and our partners who issued information and advice on community options and events. A tremendous PR event, RTW sold a full employability package which resulted in being asked to attend and give a talk to Kirkwood/Kirkshaws Tenants Forum later. Both Cumbernauld MP and MSP organised a successful Jobsfair last Friday the 7th June in the Muirfield Centre.
Offers and options ranged from training providers, careers options, benefits advice alongside several employers. Attendees of all ages were given the chance to speak directly to all stall holders and given guidance on how to apply for jobs. We had pupils and teachers form St. Maurice’s High School who will be Christmas Leavers in Dec 2019. RTW engaged with the pupils who were excited about the prospects of full skills training, prospects jobs and a full pre-employability package. Here’s our very own ‘Mr Gilbert’ giving them a lecture on careers and job!! Teachers and pupils told me they will make RTW their first call on leaving school. |
