Routes to Work serves the long term unemployed and economically disadvantaged in North Lanarkshire. We understand the needs of thousands of local people. Many face difficult personal challenges and we help them return to work or take up employment for the first time. Regular client surveys shape the service we provide to deliver the best and most appropriate support we can. Our customised services are accessible at more than 40 locations in the heart of communities across North Lanarkshire.
Clients must always be at the centre of the process - we design and deliver all our services with a focus on making positive changes in their lives, respect their wishes, listen to them and respond to the feedback we receive. We retain a focus on helping the most excluded in our communities. Helping over one thousand North Lanarkshire residents into work this year isn’t down to one single organisation. Routes to Work’s success comes from collaboration and partnerships with likeminded organisations, all working towards improving the lives of those residents in North Lanarkshire. The complex nature of some of the situations our clients face means that we must draw on the skills of many other organisations and support networks. It isn’t possible to mention every one of them within this annual report by name but we have around 60 wonderful partners, of varying sizes, working with us across the region on different programmes to support people facing varied personal challenges returning to work or seeking their first job. |
