Routes to Work are a registered charity who deliver employment support services and skills development to economically disadvantaged residents of North Lanarkshire who require our support to make meaningful improvements in their lives.
We have been successful in securing funding to deliver a range of services for residents in the Airdrie Central Area as part of the UK Governments new Community Renewal Fund, which aims to support people and communities most in need across the UK, creating opportunities to trial new approaches and innovative ideas at the local level. This also gives us an opportunity to showcase future work as part of shared prosperity fund.
RTW through NLC are delighted to be given the opportunity to be part of this new pilot project. This project will focus on domestic priorities, growing local economies, and breathing new life into our communities. It will focus on supporting the area of Airdrie and RTW will pilot imaginative new approaches and programmes that unleash potential that best tackles local challenges through building skills and employability support within the community. We are looking for team members to design and deliver this service. Do you have a drive and passion to improve the lives of local North Lanarkshire residents and can demonstrate that you can be resourceful, resilient and are completely client focused? Then this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
What will you be doing?
You will the first point of contact for North Lanarkshire residents engaging with our service which includes delivering the initial induction and registration stage.
You will promote the Airdrie Central Community Engagement Project to key target client groups through delivery of a warm and welcoming introduction, setting the scene for future interaction and giving participants a clear vision of the journey that lies ahead, including the range of support that is available
You will be responsible for ensuring that all necessary paperwork and database processes are completed to an appropriate standard and that clients are clearly signposted to the next stage of their journey
You will be an amazing community engagement worker. We are looking for positive influencers who can work with local partners, community organisations, services and networks, building strong relationships with a view to encouraging mutual referrals and facilitating joint working.
You must have excellent communication, organisation and presentation skills.
