Freedom of Information

The Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 and the Environmental Information (Scotland) Regulations provide you with rights to obtain information from Scottish public authorities including Routes to Work Ltd.

The general effect of these legal rights is that any person who requests information from a Scottish public authority is entitled - with very limited exceptions such as personal information - to be given that information, and expect to receive it within 20 working days.

The attached Model Publication Scheme Guide details the amendments that apply from 25th May 2020.

The Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 (the Act) requires Scottish Public Authorities to produce and maintain a Publication Scheme.  Authorities, including Routes to Work Ltd are required to:-

  • publish the classes of information that they make routinely available; and

  • tell the public how to access the information and what it might cost.

Routes to Work Ltd has adopted the Model Publication Scheme produced by the Scottish Information Commissioner.
If the information you want is not available through the publication scheme, you can ask for any recorded information we hold.
