Job purpose

Carry out physical tasks including cleaning, removing debris, loading and unloading materials, assembling

and disassembling temporary structures, assisting skilled trades people with their duties. The role is

undertaken in accordance with Health & Safety guidelines.

Main responsibilities and duties


1. Perform physical tasks including cleaning, removing debris, loading and unloading materials, assembling

and disassembling temporary structures, assisting skilled trades people with their duties. Duties will vary

day-to-day and can involve tool use, carry and managing equipment and machinery to provide support to

the skilled trades people on-site.

2. Immediately report any problems/failures that may impact the business and/or its clients/customers to

your supervisor.

3. Responsibility for the equipment provided to use in the job role. Ensuring that equipment is used in

accordance with best practice and any training provided, along with the use of any safety equipment of

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided. Responsibility for ensuring the equipment used is

maintained and can be used/operated at all times. In the event of any faulty equipment, this must be

reported immediately to a supervisor.

4. The role is part of the overall construction team and as such may require the role holder to perform such

reasonable tasks that are required, as and when necessary, to maintain, promote, develop and expand

the business and its interests.

1. Ability to work independently and work well as part of a team.

2. Demonstrate good time management.

3. Friendly and approachable manner.

4. Knowledge of building and construction.


5. Requisite knowledge of the tools, equipment, and materials common to the

trade.

6. Understand and deliver good customer service.

7. Patience and the ability to work well under pressure.

Special working conditions

The role involves working at heights and on construction sites.
