Labourer
Location: Company based in Bothwell, but job will be in Coatbridge.
Hours: Monday to Friday, between 8:00am and 6:00pm
Salary: National Minimum Wage to Real Living Wage (depending on experience), with progression as training develops
About the Role
A growing contractor is looking for a motivated and reliable Labourer to join its team working on social housing projects across North Lanarkshire carrying out labouring tasks.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career, with a guaranteed pipeline of work through a contract expected to run for the next four years. For the right individual, there may also be opportunities to develop into trade areas.
Key Responsibilities
Supporting tradespeople on site with day-to-day tasks
Transporting tools, materials, and supplies across site
Heavy lifting of materials, floorboards, doors, and equipment
Removing and reinstating floorboards and doors as required
Carrying out basic patching and making-good works
Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment
Following all company health and safety procedures
Undertaking any other labouring duties required by the site team
Essential Requirements
Full UK driving licence
Ability to travel to sites in future but main contract is currently Coatbridge
A positive attitude and strong willingness to learn
Comfortable working as part of a team and taking direction
Physically fit and capable of carrying out manual handling and heavy lifting
Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
Aged 18 or over due to insurance requirements
Desirable Experience
