An established structural steel and engineering business in Motherwell is looking for an Apprentice Industrial Spray Painter to join its team. This position is ideal for a recent school leaver!

This is a fantastic entry-level opportunity for someone looking to start a career in industrial painting and develop valuable, practical skills while gaining a recognised qualification.

What you’ll learn:

• Preparing steelwork and surfaces for      painting

• Industrial spray-painting techniques

• Mixing and applying coatings

• Safe use and care of equipment

• Working safely within an industrial      environment

• Producing work to required quality      standards

We’re looking for someone who is:

Previous industrial painting experience is not required, as training will be provided.

This vacancy is being offered as an apprenticeship and is subject to the successful applicant meeting the relevant apprenticeship and training-funding eligibility criteria.

💷 Starting rate: £8.00 per hour

The £8.00 apprentice rate is the statutory minimum applying from 1 April 2026 to apprentices under 19, or those aged 19+ who are in the first year of their apprenticeship.
