Workshop Labourer (no CSCS required)

Location: Motherwell
Hours: Full-time

Monday - Friday 44 hours

7-5 Mon - Thurs

7-1 Friday

A local employer is looking to recruit a reliable and hardworking General Labourer / Stores Assistant to support the day-to-day running of a busy workshop and stores environment.

This is a varied, hands-on role and would suit someone who takes pride in keeping a workplace clean, safe and organised. Previous experience in a similar labouring, warehouse, stores or workshop environment would be beneficial, but a positive attitude and willingness to help are equally important.

Duties will include:

• Carrying out general labouring and      housekeeping duties

• Cleaning the workshop and keeping work      areas tidy

• Cleaning staff canteen, toilet and office      areas

• Emptying bins and disposing of waste      appropriately

• Assisting with the organisation and upkeep      of stores

• Moving and organising materials and      equipment

• Operating a counterbalance forklift      following in-house training

• Supporting other members of the team with      general tasks as required

• Helping to maintain a clean, organised and      safe working environment

The ideal candidate will:

• Be reliable, punctual and hardworking

• Be comfortable undertaking a mixture of      cleaning, stores and general labouring duties

• Have a practical, hands-on approach to      work

• Be able to work independently and as part      of a team

• Have good awareness of workplace health      and safety

• Be willing to undertake in-house      counterbalance forklift training
