Job Overview:
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Groundworker / Landscaper to join our team based in Uddingston. The successful candidate will have previous experience in groundworks, landscaping, and construction projects, particularly residential extensions.
This role is physically demanding, so applicants must be physically fit, practical, and comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions. A CSCS card is not required, but relevant experience in construction or groundwork is essential.
You will be working as part of a small team supporting building and extension projects, carrying out a range of groundwork and labouring duties to ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Preparing and clearing construction sites for building and extension works
Excavation and groundwork preparation for foundations and extensions
Assisting with drainage installation and groundwork infrastructure
Laying kerbing, paving, slabs, and other landscaping elements
Operating basic hand and power tools safely
Assisting with concreting, mixing materials, and foundation preparation
Carrying out general labouring duties including lifting, moving materials, and site clean-up
Supporting builders and trades on site where required
Ensuring the site is kept safe, tidy, and organised at all times
Following health and safety procedures on site
Requirements:
Previous groundworks or landscaping experience
Experience working on house extensions or residential building projects preferred
Physically fit and able to carry out manual work
Reliable with a strong work ethic
Ability to work well as part of a team
Basic knowledge of construction tools and materials
