Description – Mash Mixer

Albert Bartlett is recognized as one of the UK’s leading suppliers of high-quality potatoes since 1948. As we continue to grow our operations, we are looking for a dedicated Mash Mixer to join our team. This role is integral to the production of our delicious chilled and frozen potato products, ensuring that our mixing processes align with our standards of quality and efficiency.

As a Mash Mixer, you will be responsible for preparing and mixing mash according to specific recipes and production schedules. Your keen attention to detail and commitment to maintaining consistency in our products will directly impact our reputation for excellence in the industry.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and operate mixing machinery used in the production of      mashed potato products.

  • Follow recipes and production specifications accurately to ensure      product quality and consistency.

  • Monitor mixing times, temperatures, and consistency, making      adjustments as necessary.

  • Conduct quality checks throughout the mixing process to ensure      compliance with standards.

  • Maintain cleanliness and proper maintenance of mixing equipment to      uphold health and safety regulations.

  • Work closely with production staff to coordinate mixing schedules      and meet operational demands.

  • Document production activities, including batch logs and quality      control checks.

Hours of work:

Friday 0600-1430

Saturday 0600-1800

Sunday 0600-1800

Monday 0600-1430

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a food production setting, preferably in a      mixing or preparation role.

  • Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.

  • Ability to follow recipes and production guidelines precisely.

  • Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality control.

  • Basic mechanical aptitude to perform routine maintenance on mixing      equipment.

  • Capable of working independently as well as in a team environment.

  • Willingness to work flexible hours as needed to meet production      schedules.
