Print Rewind Operator

A progressive print company specialising in high quality printing of labels, primarily for the Spirit Bottling Industry, has the following vacancy for immediate start within the PSL (Pressure Sensitive Labels) Department.

We have ambitious growth plans and are moving to a new state of the art print facility in Cumbernauld in 2024. The new site will allow the company to increase capacity to meet market demand while providing enhanced benefits and welfare facilities for our employees.

This role supports the Flexo Printing process and once trained you will be responsible for the mounting of plates onto cylinders and filing them according to the relevant job.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Mounting and setting the printing plate

• Carrying out efficient job change overs

• Supporting production to maximise machine efficiency

• Producing work on time to the highest standard

• Assisting printer with other ancillary tasks relevant to the department

• Manual Handling

• Work to 6s Standards

• All other duties as and when required

Candidate Requirements:

• Proficiency in numeracy & literacy

• Experience within a print based production environment

• Be able to work on their own initiative & collectively as part of a team

• Be reliable & possess an excellent timekeeping / attendance record

• Adhere to health & safety standards at all times

• Flexo print experience an advantage

Please note, this role is 36 Hours per week and involves a treble shift working pattern, working across a back shift, early shift, and night shift pattern.

Early shift: Monday 6.30am to 1pm, Tuesday to Thursday 6.45am to 1pm, and Friday 6.45am to 5.30pm

Night shift: Monday – Thursday 9.50pm to 6.50am

Back shift: Monday – Thursday 12.55pm to 9.55pm
