Employer: Local Window Blinds Manufacturer & Installer About the Employer A well-established window blinds manufacturer and installer based in Motherwell is seeking a motivated and reliable Trainee Blind Fitter to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys practical, hands-on work, has a keen eye for detail, and is looking to build a long-term career with a successful local business. Experience working with hand tools, manufacturing, assembly, or installation work would be beneficial; however, full training will be provided for the right candidate.
The Role As a Trainee Blind Fitter, you will work alongside experienced team members, learning all aspects of blind manufacturing and installation. The role will involve a combination of workshop-based production and customer-facing fitting activities, ensuring every installation is completed to high quality standards. This is a varied position that combines hands-on manufacturing work with visits to customers' homes throughout the local area.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Assist with the manufacture and assembly of a wide range of window blinds.
Learn to accurately measure and fit blinds in customers' homes.
Carry out installations in line with company quality and safety standards.
Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
Maintain high standards of workmanship and attention to detail.
Provide excellent customer service and represent the business professionally at all times.
Ensure work areas, vehicles, and equipment are kept clean and organised.
Support the wider team with workshop and operational activities as required.

Desirable Criteria
Full UK Driving Licence.
Currently learning to drive or working towards obtaining a driving licence.
Previous experience in manufacturing, assembly, installation, joinery, fitting, or a similar hands-on role.
Experience using hand and power tools.
